Yeah, cauliflower ears hurt... a lot! The liquid accumulated in the ears will be injected out to counter further swelling and inflammation, but the process hurts as well.

Even Randy Couture admits to the painful process, but is not ashamed of having them because in Greco-Roman wrestling, cauliflower ears are a sign of honor and experience.

The story notes that the player was stabbed by a 16-year-old. And Artest would have been 12 years old the night he witnessed this.
